Navy Mids is a documentary about boys and girls with an average age of 18 years. They have just graduated from high school or have completed a HBO and see their future in the Navy. They step into a world where history, hierarchy and rituals play an important role. The boys have to be shaved, the girls have their hair cut short. They hand in their cell phones, renounce their civilian clothes and undergo a transformation from individual to group member. They are forged into unity during the introduction by trial and error. Their dream is to be admitted to the Midshipmen Corps. That is not possible without blood, sweat and tears.
